What's in the kit

• Plastic base, double cell holder and one big ring magnet with sticky tape
• Nuts and bolts, enamel copper wire and two copper brackets
• Sand paper, iron filings and a plastic container
• Printed instructions

What students learn

• Magnets, magnetism, magnetic field and magnetic lines of force
• Making your own electromagnet, the basic working of a motor and the role of the armature
• Demonstrates the Right Hand Rule

Please note: You will need 2 pencil cells for this project. They are not provided in the kit.
